With such a wide range of Angle Finders to choose from, we sometimes get asked which is the best size of Angle Finder to go for? It really depends on your preference and the types of projects you will be working on. Here are some of the different features.

• The AF6 is our best seller and measures 6 inches from the centre bolt. It shows the single, protractor and mitre readings on the display. The stubby-armed version of this has 1 shorter arm, which is handy for measuring in hard-to-reach spots.

• We have the AF4 pocket-sized version, which does exactly the same as the AF6 but is smaller and lighter at just 130g. This is very handy if you are say on the job site, carrying multiple tools and want to have lighter more compact options.

• Both the AF4 and the latest model of the AF6 have a recessed bolt at the pivot point which allows the tool to sit flat against the work surface.

• The longer AF9 and AF16 versions are really useful for when you want to take a measurement across a longer span. For example, on uneven surfaces like in older houses or for built-up/low corners on drywall/plastering work. The AF9 and AF16 both feature a rise-and-run reference table.

• The AF16 includes a quick-reference table for coving angles. The table clearly displays the mitre and bevel settings for your mitre saw based on the most common corner angles and coving spring angles (45° & 38°) to cut 'on the flat'.

• All of our angle finders are fully CNC machined from 1/4 inch thick high-quality T6 aluminium, are treated to a protective anodised layer and then laser marked. The AF9s and AF16s are also hand-finished with red-painted locating arrows.

• All of the angle finders also feature a secondary dial for more acute angles which can be used in conjunction with your mitre saw and a pre-cut, 45-degree block.

Some popular combinations are to have a smaller and longer version, such as the AF6 and AF16 or AF4 and AF9 for example. Or to have an AF6 or AF9 set with the stubby-armed version.
